The Monster and the Maze

One day, Alligator, a monster, was guarding an exit of a maze.

He had lots of problems. He had no legs, so he could only move when he was picked up. He also had no tongue, so he could not taste anything, and he had a plastic lower jaw, so he could not talk.

He was getting sleepy and was going to close his eyes when he heard, thunk! He wondered what it was. Could it be live food? He stayed up to listen and heard a faint buzzing noise. Then he yawned and fell asleep.

He woke up to find a bird pecking at his eyes. He opened his mouth to bite the bird but only got some feathers. He kept biting the bird, hoping to get it off, but could not. His eyes fell off a few pecks later, but he told himself that they would grow back.

When his eyes did grow back, he saw he was in a nurse's office.

The nurse came in and said, "Your retired now. We fixed your jaw and gave you a body with legs. Oh, and you can communicate now too. Try it!" So Alligator did.

He said "I'm starving, can I have some food please?" He was so shocked that he said it that he jumped three feet in the air! The nurse brought him some food and Alligator ate it hungrily.

After his refreshing meal, the nurse put a map in front of him and said, "Since you're retired, you can live anywhere, and I wouldn't recommend living here. Where do want to live?" Hmm... thought Alligator. He thought of all the places he'd heard about.

"I want to live in... Brazil!" He said.

"I can arrange that for you." said the nurse, and in a few minutes Alligator  was riding in plane headed for Brazil. He settled down in Belikazuka, a small village south of a twenty foot tall waterfall with a pool at the bottom. Alligator was very happy and he lives there even now.

Resound Movie

Resound

One day, Resound, a small mechanical robot, was laying captive in a cage.  He was wondering when his captors would release him when his cage began to sway and gyrate.  At first, Resound was scared, and then became angry when he realized it was his captors moving him all about. You see, Resound was a lab experiment  gone wrong. Some people, who were trying to make a fun, electric, kids' toy were working right next to people who were trying to make a smart robot. The electronics got mixed up and put in the wrong things, so when the kids toy got turned on, Resound was born. 

Resound had always hoped that the experiments would stop, but he was beginning to lose hope. Resound was being starved off from his food, electricity, thrown, and dropped, too. What he really wanted to have was three meals a day, and a house, not a cage, in which he could have fun. 

When the swaying and gyrating stopped, Resound was on his back and not very happy. A hand reached in, grabbed him, and pulled him out of the cage. Then, it dropped him in a pile of plastic rectangular prisms and cubes with small plastic circles on them and disappeared, it seemed, to ready the experiment. 

"What is it going to be this time?" thought Resound, as he was dropped, screaming.

When he finally hit the ground, he found himself in a chamber made up of plastic, with no windows or light.

"At least they didn't drop me in a bucket of water." he said. "But that hurt!" He decided to explore the pitch-black room by finding the wall.

 He had twelve unbendable appendages made of an eraser like material, and to move he had to vibrate, which made his teeth chatter.

 He spun in wide circles and found the wall. He followed the wall through chambers and passages.

 In one of the chambers, the room lit up, revealing the object Resound was standing on. The ground was red. There were white triangles hanging from the ceiling. Resound noticed that the triangles were descending towards…Him?! He quickly moved out of the way, barely missing the closing jaws, turned around and fearfully oscillated to the farthest room from the monsters lair.

 The room had a large humanoid robot in the center, and there was some plastic water and land around it. "Whew! That was close!" he said. He decided to check the rooms for hidden exits so he could get out and stay out. He was thinking "What if the monster catches me?" He checked for hidden exits by feeling around on the floor and walls. None of the rooms he checked had secret exits except the monster room. 

He was wondering if he should risk going into the monsters lair, when a bird swooped down out of nowhere and attacked the monster. Resound thought this would be the perfect time to try to find a secret door in the monsters lair. 

In the monster room, he saw a door appear every time the monster opened its mouth to bite the bird. Just then the bird pecked out the monsters eyes, making it blind. Resound went through the door and saw a sign that read:

The test are over! 

Now go take a vacation!

Robot Arm

This is a robotic arm I have built out an instruction booklet. My sister loves getting her stuffed animals munched on by it and giggles when they get get crushed.

Pickerel Lake

Walking down the path to the beach where fish and turtles play, I often wonder where the deer paths in the bushes lead. I also always wonder if the water is going to be warm or not. I have always loved playing in the water, and I will hate the day when I can no longer. The water is calm, clear, and lukewarm today. I swim for awhile, admiring the tall waving water grass and trying to catch some fish. One of my parents kicks me out to the deepest part of the lake, where trees and bushes grow in underwater forests and the remnants of a dock lay. Looking around, I can see large trees lining the pond, and the smells around me make my nose want to dance. On the way back, I flip over to watch the clouds. What will I see? An elephant? A ferocious cat? When we get to shore, we eat sandwiches on the beach, then leave. It is a wonderful place.

Catnapper

Prologue

(Enter Sheriff Scott holding bags.)

Sheriff Scott:  This is such a good night for stealing cats.  I hope this plan is successful.

(Sheriff Scott opens a window and climbs in. )

Cat:  MEOW!

Sheriff Scott:  Shut up, stupid cat!  I only have to do this 23 more times.  I'm glad I only steal at night.  I could get caught.

(Sheriff Scott exits.)

Scene One

(Curtain opens to reveal Frank Earnest laying on bed.)

Frank Earnest: (Yawning.)  What a nice day.  Hey!  Where's my cat?  I wonder where he is.

(Frank Earnest exits.)

Scene Two

(Enter Mom and Frank Earnest.  Stage set to kitchen.)

Frank Earnest:  Morning, Mom.

Mom:  Hi, honey.  Have you seen any cats?

Frank Earnest:  No, I haven't.  Why were you asking?

Mom:  Because I haven't seen any all morning.

(Mom and Frank Earnest exit.)

Scene Three

(Stage set to outside.)

Frank Earnest: I better find my friends.

(Enter Frank Earnest's friends.)

Friend One:  I think the sheriff stole them.

Friend Two:  I bet you're right.

Frank Earnest:  Hi, guys.

Cat:  MEOW!

Frank Earnest:  That's a cat!

(Frank Earnest and friends run off stage.)

Scene Four

(Frank Earnest and friends hide next to a booth where the sheriff is selling cats.)

Friend Two: Look!  It's the sheriff!

Friend One:  And he's selling cats!

Frank Earnest:  Nobody buys from the sheriff on the first day.  Let's take the cats at night and give them back to their owners.

(Frank Earnest, friends, and Scott exit.)

Scene Five

Crash! Boom! Bash! MEOW!

(Frank Ernest and friends enter.)

Frank Ernest: Now that we have these cats, let's return them to there owners!

(Frank Ernest and friends go behind houses and exit.)

Epilogue


Townspeople One-Five: Yay! Our cats are back! We should have locked our windows!

Sheriff Scott: Oh, great! Now I can't steal anymore cats!

Cat: MEOW!

(All exit.)

Lego Minivan

A couple of days ago I decided to build a minivan. The build was going smoothly until I tried to finish the seat and the red indentations. The seat had no back and the tops of the indentations were falling off. Eventually I created a special device that fixed both problems. The special device I made was a series of Lego pieces that looked kind of like the letter L. It allowed me to make a seat with a head rest as well as the indentations on the sides!

I hope you can make a cool minivan too! If you get stuck, you can ask me for help!
