The Bat That Did Not Look

Here is a story of a bat was fed to a bunch of hapless hawks. I think it is the best poem I have written so far. What do you think? Please let me know! Enjoy!
The bat battered the air,
To show that this bat was better,
Not slow,
Than any other big bad bat,
Wearing a hat,
But did not check to see,
What he was going be,
And was caught by a cantankerous hawk,
Who closed his claws,
So he may feed,
The hungry maws of his chicks,
Who flew like bricks.
P.S. This happens in the real world.
